The services covered
The free plugin planner uses building geometry, operating settings and constraints you provide to calculate a warehouse pallet-storage scenario. You can enter a rectangular building or use the building editor for more complex facility shapes, then inspect a layout and estimated capacity. It requires no WhereHowSpace account or purchase. It does not offer Data Driven scenario runs, purchase equipment, start a subscription nor commit you to a paid engagement.
The WHS website also provides a standalone capacity workflow without an account. Its private scenario pages and available controls differ from the plugin workflow; the deletion guidance below distinguishes them.
The regular application provides the planning functions enabled for your account. These can include saved scenarios and results, uploaded product and operational datasets, Data Driven analysis, comparisons and exports. Access to a feature depends on the permissions and service access provided to your account. A feature available in the regular app is not necessarily available in the free planner.
Consulting, brokerage and other professional engagements require their own agreement. These terms do not order those services or replace a signed agreement. An applicable signed agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms for that engagement, including its scope, fees and deliverable rights.
Accounts and authority
Use accurate account and contact information and keep your sign-in credentials and authentication codes private. Use only accounts and work you are authorized to access. If you act for an organization or provide another party's information, you must have authority to do so. Contact us if you believe your account or private scenario link has been used without authorization.
The services are intended for business planning and are not directed to children under 13. Do not access another person's private work, interfere with service availability, bypass limits or access controls, or use the services unlawfully.
Your inputs and information
Provide information you are authorized to use for the requested planning work. You retain your rights in the information you provide. You authorize WHS to store and process it as needed to provide the services, maintain saved work, administer accounts and respond to support requests, as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your information to WHS.
Check dimensions, units, clearances, rack settings, dataset mappings and other inputs before relying on a result. Keep unrelated personal information out of planning inputs and uploads. Do not put passwords, authentication codes, payment-card details, government identification numbers or health information into scenario fields or datasets. Use the designated sign-in and payment-provider interfaces when those are needed.
Regular-app dataset uploads can include original files and processed copies stored by WHS. An image or PDF selected only as a building-tracing reference is read locally in your browser; the geometry you save is sent to WHS. These are different functions. The Privacy Policy describes service providers, authorized administrative access, service communications, internal calculation notifications and analytics. It also states that WHS does not sell customer planning information or use customer uploads, facility addresses, layouts or results for sales prospecting, benchmarking, research or AI model training.
Private links and sharing
The free plugin planner uses private scenario links instead of a WHS account. Anyone who has a scenario's private link can view, change, calculate or delete that scenario. Protect the link and share it only with people you intend to give that access. It is not a read-only sharing permission.
Standalone website capacity pages also use private links. Protect those links and share them only with intended recipients. The available actions depend on that website workflow; it does not provide the plugin's chat deletion command. Contact support for deletion if no appropriate control is available.
The regular app has separate account and sharing controls. If you choose an available share or publish function, review the information included and the access that the function provides. People who receive a shared link and any required password can access the material made available through that link. Do not assume that regular-app sharing controls apply to the free planner's private links. Recipients may retain their own copies; deleting WHS work does not recall those copies.
Saved work and deletion
Saved plugin scenarios and results remain until you delete them. You can ask WhereHowSpace in the scenario's chat to delete it. Deletion removes its saved draft and run records and disables its private link. Underlying result files are queued for separate cleanup; a file still referenced by another saved result is retained. A deleted scenario cannot be reopened through its former link.
For a standalone website capacity scenario, use an available deletion control or contact support; asking the plugin in chat does not delete that website scenario.
Account information, uploaded datasets, saved regular-app work and business records have the retention and deletion handling described in the Privacy Policy. Archiving a dataset, disabling an account or canceling paid access is not a request to delete all stored information. Use available deletion controls or contact us to request removal of information that cannot be deleted through the interface. We may need to verify your authority over the account or work.
Deletion is not immediate removal of every copy. Browser recovery data, provider backups, emails, and copies held by chat providers or other recipients have separate handling described in the Privacy Policy. Keep your own copies of information you need to preserve.
Paid access and separate purchases
The free planner remains free. If paid access to the regular app is offered, the price, applicable charges, service period and any recurring billing, cancellation and refund conditions must be presented in the applicable offer or order terms before you agree to purchase. Using the free planner or creating an account does not itself authorize a charge. These terms do not establish a particular price, trial, seat allowance or refund policy.
Where Stripe checkout is offered, payment details are entered with Stripe; WHS receives payment-related identifiers and subscription status rather than your full payment-card details. Use an available billing-management interface or contact koy@wherehowspace.com for a billing or cancellation request. Do not include card details in email. Cancellation of paid access and deletion of stored information are separate requests. Your applicable purchase agreement and rights under applicable law govern payment questions.
Use results as decision support
Layouts, capacity calculations, Data Driven analyses, comparisons and exports are estimates based on your inputs and the model's assumptions. They are not structural engineering, rack design certification, a fire-code or life-safety review, accessibility certification, or approval to construct or operate a facility. They do not guarantee a globally optimal layout or a particular operating or financial outcome.
Before buying equipment, signing a lease, changing a building or beginning operations, validate the proposed plan with appropriate qualified professionals and applicable authorities. You are responsible for decisions made using the results. A separate professional engagement provides only the services expressly agreed for that engagement.
Other services
ChatGPT and other connected clients operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Optional map tracing sends the information needed for that feature to map services as described in the Privacy Policy. Manual drawing and rectangular scenarios do not require a facility address. Third-party services and their availability can affect the functions that depend on them.
Availability and service changes
The services have access, storage and calculation limits. Requests may be rejected, delayed or interrupted when a limit is reached or a dependency is unavailable. Features may change as the software is maintained. We may restrict access to protect the service or respond to misuse or legal requirements, subject to applicable agreements and law. These terms do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular support response time, and do not override service commitments in an applicable signed agreement.
